Great ideas don’t usually become great products without identifying the end application, and the impact and return their technology creates for the customer. Honing in on these applications can be very challenging for robotics companies, however, more and more frequently we see innovators collaborating with each other and with firms like MassMEP and Coghlin Companies. The technologies and products being developed range from software automation to sensing technologies to hardware automation and more.

Many of the companies at this event are involved in the making of robotics technologies that will help improve the manufacturing process for manufacturers like Coghlin Companies, their two wholly owned subsidiaries Columbia Tech and Cogmedix, and most important, the end customer.

At the event, Mass Robotics gave several start-ups and mature businesses the opportunity to introduce and pitch their concepts and products to representatives from a wide array of industries from around the Boston area. Following the introduction process, attendees were able to network, see some of the technologies demonstrated, and discuss how they may be able to help one another advance and commercialize these innovations.

By attending this event, our team was able to gain further knowledge of the evolution of this exciting industry. Our team was also able to provide insight to bright start-up companies about the commercialization process based on Coghlin Companies’ decades of experience developing, manufacturing and globally fulfilling products for hundreds of capital equipment innovators. We look forward to what the future holds for the robotics industry and are excited to be a part of it!
