Devuni Kadapa also known as "Pata Kadapa/Old Kadapa - Tirumala Toli Gadapa" is a part of Kadapa city and is considered the doorstep of Tirumala, the holy abode of Lord Sri Venkateswara Swamy.

The presiding deity of this ancient temple is Lord Venkateswara Swamy idol who has an image of Lord Hanuman on his back in the Sanctum Sanctorum.

The idol of this temple was established by Krupacharya (Saptarishi and Chiranjivi) and is mentioned in Puranas as "Kripavathi Kshetram".

Dancing Lord Ganapathi idol is present at Mukha Mandapam. Also, Golden Lizard idol is present in the roof of the temple, and devotees touches it to get rid of their malefic Doshas.


The temple Architecture is in Vijayanagara Style. This sacred place is said to be visited by the great Telugu poet Kshetrayya, Tallapaka Annamayya and all Shankaracharyas of Advaita Vedanta Mutt. Administration of the Devuni Kadapa temple was taken over by TTD (Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams).
