Plans have been submitted to add an extension to provide additional apartments at the former Citation House on Macclesfield Road.
Initially HC Developments, part of Hale-based property crowdfunding platform, were granted permission in December 2016 to convert the former offices into 22 one and two bedroom apartments. A subsequent application was approved in May 2017 for an additional 2 apartments.
The company are now seeking planning consent to extend and alter the existing building to provide an additional 8 apartments within the development, increasing the number of apartments from 24 units to 32 units.
The proposal is for 3 additional apartments at ground floor level, consisting of 1 two bed apartment and 2 one bed apartments, 3n additional apartments at first floor level, consisting of 1 two bed apartment and 2 one bed apartments and two more apartments at second floor level, consisting of 2 two bed apartments.
The proposal also includes some alterations to the building - providing a secondary staircase and entrance lobby.
The plans can be viewed on the Cheshire East Council website by searching for planning reference 17/2602M. The deadline for submitting comments is 12th July and a decision is expected by 21st July.
