Will Adams connected for a two-run home run and Max Paddock went 3-for-3 with two runs scored as the Neelin Spartans topped the Killarney Raiders 10-2 in the Prairie West High School Baseball League’s 13th-place game at Sumner Field on Tuesday.
Carter Loewen gave up two runs in three innings on the mound to get the win for Neelin, while Reid Opperman was tagged with the loss after allowing five runs in four innings.
Meanwhile, at Zone 9 high school baseball playdowns, the host Boissevain Broncos knocked off the Reston Tigers 6-1 in the final after beating the Virden Golden Bears 10-0.
