Webinar: Additive Manufacturing

Experts in the unique field of 3D print manufacturing (also known as additive manufacturing) will explore several ways a company can save time and money during a webinar hosted by the Ohio Manufacturing Extension Partnership (Ohio MEP).

Conventional manufacturing methods deprive companies from producing multiple design prototypes as well as functional, usable parts largely due to cost. However additive manufacturing allows for multiple designs to be produced (in layers) without the large expense, additional workforce/wages, machinery, parts and more. The automating design process means fewer manufacturing errors are made due to the accessibility of increased testing, and the process is much safer. Plus traditional parts can be made at amuch lower costs, and with greater speed – often companies experience 50 percent reduction in expense and timing.

Major sectors already using additive manufacturing include aerospace, automotive, medical, food processing, toy manufacturing, apparel, machine tool production and many more.

Experts Michael Cao and Matt Organiscak of IC3D will provide an in-depth breakdown of the benefits of additive manufacturing and the ways a company, and nearly any project, can take advantage. Attendees will also be able to interact in the presentation by asking and answering questions during and following the webinar.
