UPDATE: Boil Water Advisory lifted in Rockcastle County

MOUNT VERNON, Ky. (WTVQ) -The Eastern Rockcastle Water Association has lifted the boil water advisory for several locations.

Customers on Climax Road, Red Hill Road, Three Link Road, 490, Trace Branch and all side roads no longer need to boil their water before using it for cooking or drinking.

No word from the water company on what caused the advisory to be issued.

Boil Water Advisory for parts of Rockcastle County

The Eastern Rockcastle Water Association issued a boil water advisory for all customers on Climax Road, Red Hill Road, Three Link Road, 490, Trace Branch and all sides roads, effective at 2:30 p.m., May 17, 2017.

Affected customers should boil all water to be used for cooking and drinking for at least three minutes until further notice. Boiled or bottled water should be used for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes and food preparation.
