How 71-year-old Cher defies her age with a little help from clean-eating and cosmetic surgery
SHE had a hit single in the Eighties called If I Could Turn Back Time - and it seems age-defying pop singer Cher has managed it, looking sexy at 71.
The youthful-looking diva showed off her sensational figure in two skimpy stage leotards at America’s Billboard Music Awards on Sunday, and wore sequinned nipple pasties on her surprisingly pert breasts.
When picking up her icon gong Cher boasted “I can do a five-minute plank, just saying” - a cripplingly difficult exercise routine.
The Oscar-winning star has always been open about rejuvenating her looks with cosmetic surgery, admitting to getting her teeth, boobs and nose done.
She was even rumoured to have had ribs removed to narrow her waistline. She once said: “Yes, I have had a facelift, but who hasn’t? I have become the plastic surgery poster girl.”
Harley Street SkinClinic co-founder Dr Aamer Khan thinks Cher must follow a vigorous cosmetic surgery regime to look so young.
He said: “The surgery Cher has had is very good. She’s had a decent facelift and maintains it with regular skin treatments like botox, laser resurfacing and vampire facials.
“She has certainly had filler to maintain her high cheeks and full pout in her lips.
“It looks like she has had a breast uplift as well, but clearly looks after her body with diet and exercise, as to stay well, it’s not just about surgery, it’s internal health too.”
But, like many veteran Hollywood beauties, Cher swears by a clean-living lifestyle and good genes. She says: “I don’t smoke, I don’t drink, I eat really good food.”
