The hustle and bustle of the silage season is set to be brought to a sudden halt over the coming days with three weather warnings now in place for heavy rainfall.

Met Eireann says the coming days will see settled weather but a breakdown is forecast for the end of the week with some heavy showers predicted, especially in the west of the country.
