Atom Bank enters NI market

Durham-based Atom Bank has entered the Northern Irish market by striking up a partnership with Clearpath Finance.

The company will work with the Belfast firm in a bid to provide its customers with another platform from which to access finance.

Conor Devine, director at Clearpath Finance, said the deal is "excellent news" for the Northern Ireland economy.

"With Clearpath having a number of major lenders across the UK as partners, Digital Mortgages by Atom Bank is offering something very different and very new to our local market," he added.

"At this stage, Atom Bank is rolling out a loan package for trading SMEs seeking secured finance. This process, much like our own, operates with complete transparency, driving efficiency and simplifying processes and policy to give the added help to those companies who can’t find high street banks to invest in them."

Peter Torrens, Atom Bank's business development manager for Northern Ireland, added: "Having worked for many years in Northern Ireland banking sector it is exciting to see this refreshing and dynamic approach to lending from Atom Bank.

"This new bank has the key attributes for success, a combination of appetite and ability which will deliver to Northern Ireland in a new and very different manner. The reaction to our offering has been really positive to date and with the help and cooperation of our intermediary partners, like Clearpath Finance, we are looking forward to a very successful future."
