The Crime Prevention Website

After a weekend visit to Bath, a trip down to the canal festival at Little Venice on Sunday and other jolly bank holiday stuff on Monday I’m now back home and reading through my emails.

I got a very nice message from the Ickenham Neighbourhood Watch people thanking me for my talk last week and I’ve just sent a message to Councillor James Barber thanking him for promoting our Home Security Survey.

Since Councillor Barber promoted our Survey about 260 South Londoners have completed the survey and are now, hopefully, visiting their local DIY centres to get the materials they’ll need to sort out the security weaknesses they’ve discovered.

I do hope you’ll find the time to complete the survey, which you’ll find at the link below.

I also had an email from Mrs Smith from East London asking me if I thought getting an alarm system was a good idea.

I wrote back saying that it would be a good idea especially since she’d done all the other stuff I urge people to do, including fitting decent door and window locks and putting up some external security lighting. I also mentioned that of the people who have completed our Home Security Survey 78.8% do have an alarm and of these 12% have the system monitored with a police response.

If you want to know more about alarms then do please read my sections as shown below:

So, until tomorrow, it’s now back to my own DIY
