Adrien Byrne, Policy, Government and Public Affairs Representative with Chevron Canada presents Volunteer Cancer Drivers Society president Garth Pinton with $5,000 in gas coupons.

Pinton stated that this is the second such donation and greatly helps the organization in paying their more than 90 volunteer drivers, who logged more than 246,000 kilometres in the group's first 10 months of operation. To date they have provided more than 4,600 free trips to cancer patients going to and from treatment.

The Volunteer Cancer Drivers Society was formed in January 2016 offers free, reliable, round-trip transportation to cancer patients going for treatment or doctors appointments across the Lower Mainland (excluding Vancouver and Richmond) and into the Fraser Valley.
