Stonehage Fleming, a leading independent family office, has appointed two new business development managers for its Zurich bureau to strengthen its business in continental Europe.

Floring Hug and Andreas Pankow (pictured below) will promote Stonehage Fleming’s expertise to European clients, the company said in a statement today.

Hug spent 15 years at UBS, latterly as an executive director for ultra-high net worth clients (family offices and institutional clients). He has 22 years of banking industry experience and holds a master degree from University of Bern and University of Rochester, New York.

Pankow has worked in the banking industry for more than fifteen years, most recently at UBS as an executive director for ultra-high net worth clients. Prior to joining UBS, Pankow spent five years at Credit Suisse (CS) as senior vice president and head of investment consulting (Germany). He holds a master degree from European Business School in Frankfurt, San Diego State University and Ecole Supérieure de Commerce, Tours.

Hug and Pankow joined the Zurich office in May and report to Andreas Knecht and Mark McMullen.

Since its merger to Stonehage Fleming two years ago, the company has won more than 60 mandates and looks after the financial matters of 250 wealthy families worldwide. Stonehage Fleming has assets under management worth $43 billion. The firm has 520 employees working in eight countries.
