In order to set the context for this series of articles, I am going to start this article by having you ask yourself one very simple question…

Q. Think back to this morning - ask yourself if you checked your mobile phone, and was it within the first 15 minutes of waking up?

I imagine the overwhelming response would be the majority of individuals will have; for many of whom it was actually the very first thing they did before getting out of bed! Guilty…

The true magic lies in it being instant, and exactly where I need to be - right there in my little pocket. For those of you who share similar character traits to myself, aka a complete and utter lack of patience, you will agree that we as consumers are both every businesses dream, though also tread the very fine line of becoming their worst nightmare.

In short - if advertisers get it right, we are impulsive and make snap purchases, but if we have to wait, we unleash an almighty tantrum and vow never to return to the site or brand again... EVER!
