Look for frequent updates to this page, as more shows have their fate decided.
Please keep in mind this list is for the broadcast network TV series only -- CBS, ABC, NBC, FOX and CW -- and doesn't apply to cable or streaming shows who don't follow the same September-May TV season and decision-making pattern.
UPDATE (5/14/17): FOX has renewed New Girl for a seventh and final season, per Variety. Deadline reports that Code Black has been renewed by CBS, while canceling Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders (per THR).
UPDATE (5/15/17): FOX has cancelled Scream Queens.
Chicago Justice (NBC)
Current Status: Could go either wayNBC has renewed all of the other Dick Wolf "Chicago" shows, leaving Justice's fate more questionable.
The Odd Couple (CBS)
Current Status: Likely to Be CancelledWhile The Odd Couple make it to a third season, its relatively weak numbers for a CBS comedy indicate it’s a long shot to come back for a fourth season.
Prison Break (FOX)
Current Status: Could Go Either WayFOX recently renewed The X-Files revival for another season, more than a year after its “first” return season aired. As with that show, actor availability (and deal-making) will no doubt be a big factor in whether or not Prison Break comes back again, though its ratings haven’t been as notable as X-Files either.
Quantico (ABC)
Current Status: Could go Either WayLooking like a hit when it debuted, Quantico has failed to hold on to its early buzz or audience in Season 2.
Ransom (CBS)
Current Status: Likely to Be CancelledAn experiment in programming on the mostly-abandoned Saturday schedule, Ransom didn’t do much to overhaul the belief that most audiences simply aren’t interested in new shows on that night.
Shots Fired (FOX)
Current Status: Could Go Either WayThis spring entry and its topical look at crime and race relations hasn’t gotten that much buzz, but we're not counting it out quite yet.
Training Day (CBS)
Current Status: Likely to Be CancelledThis was already facing a tough road to renewal, but the tragic death of the beloved Bill Paxton seems to have sealed Training Day's fate - barring a dramatic overhaul of the series.
Trial & Error (NBC)
Current Status: Could Go Either WayNBC's comedic take on the true crime drama hasn't made huge waves, but with the network rebuilding its comedy brand, it's possible they give it another shot - and another case to tackle.
24: Legacy (FOX)
Current Status: Could Go Either Way24: Legacy faced a tougher fight than fellow FOX reboots The X-Files and Prison Break, lacking the central characters -- most notably Jack Bauer -- audiences loved. We'll see if this different attempt at franchise building pays off with a second season. Continue on for shows that won't be back next season.
APB (FOX)
This look at a Tony Stark-esque billionaire genius taking control of a police station and giving the cops high tech gear didn't get much attention during its spring debut.American Crime (ABC)
While tremendously acclaimed, American Crime unfortunately remained a notably low-rated series. ABC no doubt hoped the positive reviews would turn into higher viewership, but after three seasons, it was the end of the line for the anthology drama. The Blacklist: Redemption (NBC)
With the show it begat from still doing okay – but no longer the sensation it once was – there weren't many talking about the spinoff.Bones (FOX)
After an astounding 12 seasons, FOX decided it was finally time to end this offbeat mixture of "will they or won’t they?" romance and sometimes notably macabre murder mystery. The Catch (ABC)
Shonda Rhimes’ importance to ABC was probably a big reason the network gave a second season to The Catch, but it never, ahem, caught on with viewers like her other series.Conviction (ABC)
This Hayley Atwell series failed to fill the notable gap left by the cancellation of Agent Carter.Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders (CBS)
Maybe some shows aren’t meant to be franchised? Criminal Minds has been a massive hit for CBS for years, but unlike CSI and NCIS, its spinoffs (Beyond Borders is the second) have failed to resonate. While Borders was given a second season, a third wasn't in the cards.Doubt (CBS)
One of the quickest cancelations of the season, this legal drama only aired twice before CBS pulled it off the air.Dr. Ken
Things were looking fairly positive for Ken Jeong's sitcom, until ABC cancelled the long-running series it was paired with, Last Man Standing, singling a new direction for the network on Friday nights.Emerald City (NBC)
This long in development reimagining of the Wizard of Oz didn’t get much attention when it finally debuted.Frequency (CW)
The CW’s new take on the story told in the movie of the same name got a bit lost in the shuffle of time travel (or in this case, cross-time communication) series on the air and was notably absent from the network’s large list of early renewals. Ultimately, the network decided to end the show after a single season. The Great Indoors (CBS)
The only new CBS comedy to not get an early renewal, this Joel McHale-fronted series didn't manage a last minute save.Grimm (NBC)
Genre series can be a tough sell on networks not named CW, so it’s commendable that Grimm had a more than healthy six year run, wrapping up with a pre-announced final season.Imaginary Mary (ABC)
This offbeat look at a woman who begins to see her childhood imaginary friend again was a big swing that was going to need a lot of positive response to fuel it beyond a first season. And it didn't get that.Last Man Standing (ABC)
Tim Allen's old school family comedy had an impressive six-year run, but ABC decided this would be the last for the series.Making History (FOX)
Another entry in the “Too many time travel shows” category, Making History boasted a likable star in Adam Pally, but didn't stick out enough to viewers. No Tomorrow (CW)
Like Frequency, No Tomorrow stood out for not getting an early renewal from the CW. This is a network who measures success very differently than the others, so there was a hope that, say, notable success on Netflix (where the show quickly debuted after its finale, thanks to a new deal with the CW) could save it, but it wasn't to be.Notorious (ABC)
ABC continues to try and replicate the success of their Shonda Rhimes-produced shows with series that evoke the feel of Rhimes’ series. Notorious failed to find an audience and its fall run was all it got.Pitch (FOX)
There was a notable amount of love for this show -- about the first female Major League Baseball player -- from a core fanbase, but unfortunately, it wasn't enough to garner a renewal.Powerless (NBC)
NBC’s decision to yank this comedy – set in the world of DC Comics – off the the schedule with just three episodes left to air made it clear there wasn’t to be a Season 2 for Powerless.Pure Genius (CBS)
Jason Katims, known for beloved --- albeit not highly rated -- shows like Friday Night Lights and Parenthood, took a crack at a CBS procedural with this look at a billionaire-backed hospital. Failing to garner the acclaim of Katims’ previous series, Pure Genius also couldn’t measure up to CBS’ high ratings standard. The Real O’Neals (ABC)
Amongst many bigger comedy successes, this sophomore year series didn't connect for ABC.Reign (CW)
After four years, the CW’s off-brand period piece and its depiction of the story of Mary, Queen of Scots, was announced as coming to an end.Rosewood (FOX)
Turning out to be entirely dependent on a strong lead-in for its once-strong numbers, Rosewood came to an end after its second season.Scream Queens (FOX)
Renewed for factors usually reserved for CW series -- including its strong social media presence -- Scream Queens wasn’t nearly as notable on the pop culture landscape in its second year.Secrets and Lies (ABC)
The long break between seasons didn’t help, but this Juliette Lewis-led crime drama (which featured completely different cases and supporting casts in its two seasons) found itself coming to a quiet ending.Sleepy Hollow (FOX)
There were many surprised that Sleepy Hollow returned for a fourth season after it lost one of its two central stars. Season 4 gave the show a big overhaul and change in setting, but without the dynamic that originally drew many in, this was the end for Ichabod Crane’s modern day adventures.Son of Zorn (FOX)
This blend of live-action and animation was always a risk, and didn't find the audience FOX's more traditional animated series have.Time After Time (ABC)
Kevin Williamson’s reimagining of the book and film about a time traveling Jack the Ripper pursued by HG Wells was a quick cancellation, airing just a handful of episodes.2 Broke Girls (CBS)
CBS pointedly left 2 Broke Girls off their long list of early renewals, as negotiations continued between the network and WBTV, who produce the series. But with the show aging and getting more expensive -- and not the hit it once was -- a deal couldn't be made to keep these Girls on the air.The Vampire Diaries (CW)
One of the CW’s signature series – and the show that helped bridge the gap between their early high school dramas and their current genre-heavy material – The Vampire Diaries wrapped up after eight years, with many notable faces (most importantly, Nina Dobrev) returning by the end. Continue on for a list of shows that are safe for next season.Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD (ABC) - Officially Renewed
