Numi Design's Lior Shapiro took this otherwise non-descript 1960's box of a home and reimagined it with today's modern farmhouse trend in mind. He selected fantastic iron light fixtures, light and airy window casements, a pitched ceiling with exposed beams, broad plank white oak floors, exposed horizontal beams for walls, and of course farm sinks to tell the story on the inside; then encased the existing structure with shingles to help tell the story from the outside. Check out that fabulous yellow stove, which provided the inspiration for the front door paint, and even the ducting on the roof.
The interior staging by Christina Kretschmer at K+V Homestaging further enhanced the story with details like a black hand painted antique iron bed, a rustic Restoration Hardware wood and iron patio table, and of course a vintage American Flag in the garage cum family room, courtesy of Simon Beardmore at Sotheby's Homes.
