Publisher's summary

A true story told through the voice of New York Times best-selling author E. K. Blair. An intoxicatingly risqué stand-alone book.

She's an author.
She's a mother.
She's a wife.
She's a fraud, a woman marked and bound by her own deceit.

Experience the astounding tale of how Anonymous battled through a year of scandals and betrayals, how her world fell from its axis with a single choice, and how she lost herself between reality and fantasy.

This is a stand-alone true story tangled in lust, heartbreak, and contrition.

LORD HELP ME I NEED ZANAX!!!!

Any additional comments?

I just don't know what to say. I could not imagine living that misery. My anxiety was so high reading this book because I can not understand how she allowed herself to slip so low for what was nothing but sex (great sex)😝. But it's not worth your family. I was just so pissed at her and wanted to shake her a say " Bitch Check Yourself "I really enjoyed the book but I could never listen to it again unless I had an IV tap of zanax. Enter at you own risk

WOW just WOW... and the narration WOW!!!!

WOW just WOW! I was told by many that this book was so good I would hate it ....I was so confused by that but in the end I understand what they meant even if I didn't feel the same. I didn't hate anything about this book. I did have a lot of opinions about the choices made by Anonymous but for the most part I could see how most of this "could" happen to someone who isn't "that kind of person". I think knowing this is a true story made this book even better for me because when I read I know its fiction so I don't spend the entire book questioning their actions and comparing it to real life situations but with this one I analyzed so much of this story while I was reading it. I really enjoyed the bits of the Indie Author community too. I spent those parts trying to imagine who everyone could be in real life.

E.K. Blair wrote the story perfectly, she detailed everything so I was questioning the choices made but at the same time I was thinking wow the sex was HOT! It almost felt like a non-fiction story written into an erotica fiction book if that make sense.

I've listened to literally tons of Elena Wolfe narrated books but this one really was one I would call her best work! She was fabulous in this audiobook!

Ohhh what a web we weave...

Any additional comments?

If I could have given more stars I would have. It's hard to listen to this book and not be judgmental about Victoria's selfishness.Victoria seems to have it all... A hard working loyal husband who loves his wife and kids more than anything. Like most long term marriages mundane tasks and busy schedules leaves little time for romance though. She's a best selling author who writes the romantic fantasies women love to escape to. Problem is her reality is nothing like the books she writes. After going online to a chat room for ideas and information on her next book she meets Alec. Unlike the busy husband who Victoria feels neglected by Alec is mysterious, exciting, and always available to feed the insatiable appetite for romance she craves. After several sexy chats and eventual sexual encounters with Alec Victoria lets herself be consumed by this forbidden fruit. All of the sexy hot scenes lure you right into this book. What isn't so sexy is the chaotic mess left behind with a husband fighting to keep his family while his wife is addicted to another man. This bitter sweet love story could happen to anyone stuck in a long term marriage rut. When you need a change from fantasy romance.. give up a credit for this reality romance. It's a well written story worth listing to. Elena Wolf's narration is pure perfection! She has the right voice for portraying either sex.

I can't believe I did this to myself again

It took a long time to recover from reading this book and I just went and slaughtered myself all over again by listening to the audio.

This book is all consuming, you won't walk away from it unmoved. It's not possible. I often refer to it as "the best book I've ever hated". EK Blair tells the story of Anonymous in a way that will ruin your soul and I don't know how to get it back.

Of course Elena Wolfe is magic. The absolute perfect voice for the book. Her ability to get her voice deep and sultry then turn around and get it emotional and high... I don't know how she does it but it did nothing but enhance this experience.

Worth a credit? How much is your soul worth?

Alec was just as much a liar as Tory!

I felt that this story could have been better developed. If the author could show that Tory was frustrated by Landon putting the restaurant before her. Also this story made Alec out to be the good guy when he was the one being so mysterious. He couldn’t say I love you until he was through with her? Really? He was full of shit.
Also, someone in his “lifestyle” would have asked Victoria what bothered her about the sex club specifically and helped guide her more. He did none of that. He was also keeping secrets from her by having sex with others without telling her. He said he was open about everything but that was a lie.

All in all the only person I cared about was Landon.
He deserved way better!

Wow

What an emotional roller coaster!
Resonated with the main characters brutal honesty. Her emotional turmoil was describing someone who is addicted to drugs/alcohol. Little disappointed in the ending. Felt saddened for her as her life would never be the same. Hope she has found some peace in her life. Can happen to the best of us.

Was it true?

I listened to this story, and as the story unfolded it brought back all the heart breaking emotions that I went through with my cheating ex-husband. Only this time, I saw it through his eyes. And unlike Landon, I stayed true to me, and didn't allow my heart to get pulled back into the lies, and unrest of someone who refused to make up their own mind.
Tori forced everyone to make her decisions for her. Just like my ex. I gave him 1 month to pull his head out of his ass (although I didn't tell my ex that, I made that choice for myself), and Landon gave Tori one month to do the same. And, just like my ex, she used that time to play around. In MY story, my ex came back to me 3 weeks later telling me that she had broken it off with him. Well, what did I LEARN from that you ask? I learned that he only came back to me because SHE didn't think she could go on any more with him, and he didn't want to go on without "someone" in his life. Sorry/not sorry, I wasn't going to be the consolation prize when he chose me first. IN this story, Tori came back to Landon after Alec had had enough of her checking up on him and not believing in him. Unfortunately for Landon, he took Tori back and is trying to make it work? If this story is true? But how can it not be when the ending sucks that badly?
What did Tori learn? Nothing! Because at the end of this heart ripping book (at least for me to relive all this nightmare) she got a new disposable phone to reach out to Alec, only to find out Alec did love her, but didn't want anything to do with her any more. She learned nothing from this, and neither did my ex. I guess there's always those that go through life thinking the grass will always be greener on the other side of the fence.
IF you've EVER been involved with an ex that kept bouncing back and forth with their feelings for you and the feelings for the "other person", leave this book alone. IT does NOT leave you feeling anything but empty and hurt and irritated. This is NOT an HEA. I repeat, NOT AN HEA. There is no happy ending. There is no lesson learned. There is however counseling, and for Tori's sake and the sake of Landon (whom my heart goes out to) I hope Tori received the HELP she fully needed. Ripping someone's heart apart because you can't make up your mind and leaving that to someone else is NOT how to handle a relationship, nor your life.
Just stay away from this book. I understand the need to "write" something to get the feelings out, but write and then burn it. This story, just has pain all over it, and I am still upset two days after finishing it. The ending is like a cliffhanger to a seasonal show that will NOT be returning--you're left with no satisfactory conclusion. IF you're into that kind of ending, then buy the book or listen to it. Elena Wolfe did an excellent job narrating this gutting story. I myself wish I'd never heard of this book. There are some things in life you don't want to relive, and this was one of them for me.

i can only say wow!!

As much as I like the author, this time this book hit home for me. For the character her ordeal lasted a year, mine has been going on for about 7 years. I loved it, I felt for Victoria's pain and I've cried for me.
Who ever this story is based on thank you for being brave and I hope you found your happiness. I know I haven't, but I'm still hopping
