With busy days at the office, the kids in school or off to college and all the other errands to run, or things to do around the house, it can be difficult to get everyone free at the same time and spend some much-needed family time together. If picnics, amusement parks, and movies have become no fun for your young adult kids, you might want to try something a little different, like an escape room. It takes only an hour out of your busy day, and creates a lasting memory everyone will treasure. Even stubborn teens are sure to crack a smile.

What Is an Escape Room?
An escape room is designed to simulate an indoor puzzle or maze. It is like a physical adventure game where the players have to solve a number of problems and puzzles with the help of clues and hints. It’s up to the players to come up with strategies and methods to solve the puzzles and complete the tasks given to them. Think of it as a live-action video game, in which the character or player has to find his way out of a room using his strengths and strategies to escape. Hence the name escape room.

Lots of escape rooms have a certain ‘plot’ which the players have to unravel using clues and hints provided. This will test your mental and technical skills. The players only have sixty minutes to unravel the plot. The room will be designed in the form of an enclosed space, like a prison cell, or library, an office space or any other form of a confined and enclosed space.

Pick a day and time when all the members of your family are free for an hour, and book an escape room to try out. Or try all the escape rooms and Escape Games PDX and spend an entire day solving puzzles and creating lasting memories. Gather up the whole family, put your heads together and enjoy a fun day in the escape room.
