This week’s eNewsletter is dedicated to sparking heartfelt joy in others (and in turn, ourselves). We love sharing stories from our customers similar to the one below.
This heartwarming story explains why my sister, Lisa, and the girl are smiling in the photo to the left. Lisa’s business sells fashionable hand-crafted accessories and more, and she exhibits at a number of festivals held in the Sarasota/Bradenton, FL area.
The girl and her mother, who were on vacation, were distraught when they first met Lisa. They told her that at the first booth they visited, the vendor made it clear that the child was not welcome, stating her jewelry was for “adults only”. The girl later saw a charm that said “Karma” at another booth and asked for the meaning. The mother wrote this post on the event’s Facebook page: “Shortly later, we met this sweet lady in the picture, and in conversation, I told her about the earlier experience. She said my daughter was welcome to try all her items. And, as a kind gesture, gave her this pretty necklace to match her shirt, which was handmade by her parents (who are in their 80s!). Everyone complimented her on it the rest of the day - I told my daughter this is a good example of Karma!”
Lisa said that our parents taught us to “do something good for someone every day!" Lisa gave a necklace to the girl that matched the flamingo birds on her shirt. Her mother encouraged her daughter to thank her, and she gave Lisa a shy little hug. Lisa continued: “About a half hour later the little girl appeared in our booth, as she wanted to give me a big hug again for the necklace. Her Mom came up and expressed that everyone loved the Flamingo necklace on her, and she was so thrilled with it. Yes, my heart was totally touched!”

Ahh-Mazing “AHA!” Discovery for April 2017: Area of Most Lightning Strikes in the World
We have been told for years that the Tampa Bay Area, located on the Gulf of Mexico Coast of Florida and where Watt-Ahh® is bottled, qualifies as the “Lightning Capital of the World.” This distinction may or may not be accurate. It seems Tampa’s sparky competition lies within the vicinity of Lake Maracaibo, located within the northwestern portion of Venezuela. It is estimated over 1.2 million lightning strikes occur in a year, and some lightning episodes can last for up to ten consecutive hours. Part of the history and folklore include the belief by ancient indigenous people that the lightning was triggered when fireflies encountered the ancestral spirits.
This Ahh-Mazing “AHA!” Discovery this month highlights Nature’s most frequent sparky displays in the World.
