#FSNTravels | Catalonia Royal Tulum Presents Rauxa Restaurant & Show
My latest #FSNTravels trip saw Daniel & I experiencing the Riviera Maya with our second trip to Catalonia Royal Tulum – this return trip; to celebrate and enjoy in the tantalizing and seductive Rauxa Restaurant & Show. Now, I don’t need to give y’all a full break down of the Catalonia Hotels & Resorts family, nor the detailed report on the SPECTACULAR Catalonia Royal Tulum resort because you can just read about our last experience here, here & here.
This recent trip was a bit more low key with us taking in the relaxation that Royal Tulum has to offer. A huge shout out to the Olympus Tours (focusing on Cancun excursions & tours) team that provided transportation from the airport to Royal Tulum upon arrival and departure! Providing tourists & locals an assortment of Mexico-wide & International excursions and tours has put them on TOP OF MY LIST before planning any trip.
From our initial visit I’d fallen in love with the resort and subsequent Catalonia Hotels & Resort family – main reason why we also chose to tie the knock in Punta Cana at Catalonia Royal Bávaro this past December. All that said it was a NO BRAINER when the opportunity arose to experience Royal Tulum’s latest attraction geared to not just resort guests but a premiere show destination for all. Traditionally, resorts are riddled with an assortment of featured shows and attractions that borderline cheesy or tacky and quite frankly, spark no interest in savvy, cultured and well traveled guests. But the concept of Rauxa is based on the allure of sophistication married with performance art, theatre and gourmet dinner.
Upon entry, guests are greeted with a cocktail, (I’ll personally guarantee it’ll be the first of many) and ushered to your table of days past tiered around the catwalk-like stage. Rauxa’s dinner options FAR EXCEEDED my expectations. Lets face it, when it comes to traditional destination venues; I think it’s safe to say, we’ve all had our mediocre food choices.
I ordered a medium-well Angus Steak with sweet potato and potato pearls that honestly, blew me away. It’s usually a hit or miss with this kind of a dish with lacklustre execution or your steak is over-cooked but the food is a stand-out throughout the Rauxa show.
