Our long-awaited lock-up with Prison Break's season 5 revival has yet to be thrown onto our screens, but there's already talk of a sixth in the works.

The whole gang reunited at PaleyLive – a fan convention for TV – for a screening of the comeback's premiere episode which sees Lincoln (Dominic) discovering his brother Michael (Wentworth) is actually alive, plus a Q&A with cast and crew about the new season.

Now, surely there's a chance of more from the Prison Break saga if they've gone to all the trouble of bringing the main character back from the dead.

Producer Paul T Scheuring wanted to wait until the show's premiere on April 4 before he decided, but according to Deadline, he did say: "It all comes from Fox ultimately… another season wouldn't happen unless they felt it was within their interest.

"We as a group have to arrive at a story that we feel is worth telling. Creative integrity is really important and if we could arrive at a story that we felt was worthwhile… then it's possible."

Dominic Purcell also seemed keen on the idea, but "only if it was paying homage to the Prison Break legend."

Meanwhile, Wentworth Miller confirmed that he'd be open to more from the show – although it sounds like this season won't cheekily end on a cliffhanger in the hope of nabbing a recommission.

He said: "These nine episodes are potentially a satisfying way to fade to black, but if there was some idea that was exciting and we were confident could stand besides those that came before, than I'd be open to that conversation."

Wentworth added: "You could take the position that Michael died in the end of [the] original series.

"The Michael that everyone knew… the man they meet in these nine episodes is someone different."

The cast also revealed that Dominic Purcell narrowly avoided paralysis of all four limbs, after an horrific on-set accident which saw wood, metal and wire land on his head.

The accident left his skull exposed and required 250 stitches, and doctors revealed that the only reason Dominic escaped without more serious injury was because his neck is so muscular.

"What was impressive about Dominic was that within 36 hours, he was a testament to fortitude and resilience," Scheuring explained.

Prison Break: Season 5 premieres on Fox on April 4.
