"Each year the Panther Marching Band combines Panther spirit, pride, musicianship, and more than 120 years of tradition to create renowned gridiron excitement. The band consists of students from 79 different majors including nearly every discipline and major available at UNI. The band is open to both music majors and non-majors, and approximately 71% of our students are not music majors...

"Made up of over 330 members from all different backgrounds and majors, the Panther Marching Band performs five different shows each year at every UNI home game, as well as several away games and marching band showcases in the region. The band also performs service projects for high school bands in the Cedar Valley. Most importantly, though, we have a lot of fun! No audition is necessary for participation in the PMB; we are happy to welcome members of all skill level into our family!"
