When it comes to luxury real estate, the boundaries are constantly being pushed. Whether it's a home with the best views, a home brimming with character, or a Zen-inspired retreat, designers and architects have mastered thinking outside the box.
The Falcon's Nest in Prescott, Arizona is no different.
Locals might know the house, designed by the Phoenix-based architect Sukumar Pal in 1994 as a tourist attraction, but the 6,200-square-foot development that spans 10 stories is now the tallest single family home in the U.S., and it's for sale.
Some call it the tallest single family home in the world, but the 27-story Antilia building in Mumbai has also been referred to as such, according to Buzzfeed. The massive development in India requires a 600-person staff and has six floors dedicated solely to parking. It is owned by billionaire businessman Mukesh Ambani, The New York Times reported.
Falcon's Nest, located next to the Thumb Butte landmark, is only an hour and a half drive north of Phoenix and contains three bedrooms, four bathrooms, an open kitchen, a hydraulic elevator and a 2,000-square-foot solarium.
The futuristic home is sometimes referred to as the ''Palsolaral House'' because of its solar technologies, alternative power and heating/ cooling saving sources, according to the Sotheby's listing. However, the most jaw dropping feature has to be the 360-degree views from the different levels (including a deck on the 7th floor!) where one can see the San Francisco Peaks, Thumb Butte, Humphrey's Peak and Bill Williams Mountain.
The property first went on the market in 2015 for $2,800,000 and is back up for sale for significantly less: $1,500,000.
