And the kids will love them too, as making them is half the fun. You can ask them to dip the ice cream cones in melted chocolate, and after the chocolate dries, the kids can also help them fill them up with fruit. Create a fun task for them by filling the cones as a game, by alternating the fruit by their color.

To serve, you just need small dessert forks, or toothpicks, so kids can dip the fruit in this delicious dip. We mixed yogurt, peanut butter and honey for our recipe, but you can also try mixing just yogurt and Nutella instead!

And what better place to get our tools than Almacenes Siman! We got a big bamboo cutting board where Kristen is preparing the recipe. We also got small bowls, just like the one where we placed our fruit, so Kristen would have all the ingredients she needed for the recipe nearby. Remember, you can follow Almacenes Siman on Facebook, and Instagram to keep up with their latest offers and sales.

A Foodies’ Kitchen original recipe
Makes: 10 fruit cones

Ingredients, for the Fruit Cones:
10 ice cream cones
1 small pint of blackberries
1 small pint of strawberries, sliced in half
1 large tommy mango, cur in cubes
1 green apple, cut in thin slices
1 banana, cut in slices
4-oz. cars chocolate, melted

Ingredients, for the Dip:
1 cup of natural yogurt
⅓ cup of peanut butter, non-chunky
3 tablespoons of honey

Directions:

  1. Melt the dark chocolate in the microwave, in 30-second intervals, mixing between each one.
  2. Dip the ice-cream cones in the chocolate, so the rim of the cones are covered in chocolate. Use glasses as bases so the cones can dry up.
  3. Fill the cones with different fruits.
  4. To prepare the dip, in a small bowl whisk together the yogurt, peanut butter and honey until combined.
  5. Move the dip to a clean serving bowl, and serve next to the fruit cones.
