Apple just recently introduced iOS 10.3, but information about the upcoming iOS 11 continues to surface online. The latest reveals that the Cupertino company may be preparing to bring iMessage integration into Siri, to adapt to user habits.

A new report shows that Apple will update Siri in iOS 11 with features like adaptive AI and integration with iMessage and iCloud. Information should be taken with a grain of salt at this point, as nothing is certain until the new version arrives later this year.

Nonetheless, the report mentions that Apple’s virtual assistant will have the capacity to learn the user’s habits and provide different options based on context. Users have been rather displeased with Siri’s lack of contextual awareness, seeing how Google Assistant does offer some options in this direction.

Siri to get iMessage and iCloud integration

Google’s AI assistant can find data on the Internet and a number of services and applications, and also respond to follow-up questions without forcing users to speak out a specific command. iMessage integration in iOS 11 will apparently allow Siri to perform actions based on conversations and suggest restaurants when users type in a certain dish or offer to book a reservation.

Moreover, iCloud integration could identify connections between devices to offer relevant actions. There’s also talk of deeper integration of Siri in tvOS and watchOS.

Aside from this, Apple is also rumored to bring dark mode to iOS 11, a feature that many iPhone users have been awaiting for quite a while. Group video calls in FaceTime is also said to debut in iOS 11.

Apple is expected to introduce the new iOS 11 during the Worldwide Developers Conference in June, and the new version is said to make close to 200,000 apps obsolete with the elimination of 32-bit support. Whether these claims are true and further Siri integration will be provided is unknown at this point, we’ll just have to wait and see until this June.
