■ Faithful end 33-day prayer march

The adherents had looked up to February 24. It was the closing day of the 33-day prayer march with theme “My Year of Divine Enthronement,” organized by the Holy Ghost Adoration Ministry.
The worshippers had come from far and near to the sleepy community of Uke in Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State to receive divine messages and healings from the Spiritual Director of the ministry, Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Obimma.
The all-night programme billed to begin by 9:00p.m, saw most of the over 1.5 million Christian faithful that thronged the adoration ground seated as early as 2:00p.m. At the appointed hour, Fr. Obimma, popularly known as Ebube Muonso, took the stage to begin his ministrations and homily. He took the worshippers through a voyage into the Bible while touching also on numerous burning issues in the country.
During the crusade, aside miracles, testimonies of open doors and great blessings from God, the deaf and dumb participants in the congregation, including Paul Ukachukwu and Bernard Mmaduka, received spiritual healings as both regained hearing and speech abilities.
Obimma regretted that many Nigerians are passing through hardship as a result the worsening state of the nation’s economy. He lambasted the APC-led Federal Government for being clueless on how to manage the country in the best interest of the citizens. He said that although most Nigerians clamoured for change, the one made available by the Muhammadu Buhari presidency was a sham.
As he ended the worship at 9:00a.m, the man of God started attending to over 600 persons who had booked appointments to see him after the prayer session after which he fielded questions from journalists who attended the event.
He disclosed that his message was centered on “true promotion from God,” saying that he has raised over half a billion naira from cheerful donors from sowing of seeds for God’s continued mercies, blessings and grace. These monies, he said, are used for the propagation of Christianity through evangelism and charity works.
Obimma said his ministry spends over N15 million annually on charities, excluding over N15million on hospital bills each year. According to him, he had uprooted many idols believed to have kept many youths in bondage and shrines troubling communities, including Omaliko, Ami-Agba, Oyi Oji Nkwelle, Udo Ekwulobia and Alusi Ikenga.
The cleric whose schools and factories employ over 15,000 people said: “Ebube Muonso is not the healer, but Jesus Christ. I have no power to do miracles unless it is given to me from above. The Adoration Ministry has recorded unprecedented harvest of miracles.
“For me, I can say it is the most booming ministry around. When you come here, you see evidence of God’s presence, blessings and the power of the Holy Spirit in action. On weekly basis miracles are being recorded.
“My happiness is that nowadays, people from outside Nigeria visit here and share testimonies. Just recently, there was a man from China who was so sick that he had just one day to live. That day, I was in China to anchor a crusade.
“The coordinator of the crusade, Emeka, told me to wait behind and pray for the man who was diagnosed of cancer. His liver and kidney were damaged and he had only one day to live. When we got to the man’s house, I saw only a skeleton. I didn’t know what to say. I told God to wrath a miracle that would convert the entire Chinese country. I brought out my stool and lay on the man and started singing praises. After that I blessed the man and anointed him.
“The next day, Emeka called me and said that China was in great jubilation. He told me that the man was healed and that he was removed from the life-supporting machine. He reported that the man who could not pass urine went to the toilet and passed urine unaided and also ate food. Doctors were amazed.”
Obimma, a Catholic priest with the Onitsha Archdiocese and Parish Priest of Blessed Iwene Tansi Parish, Umudioka, Dunukofia in Anambra State, lamented that with the exchange rate of dollar to naira worsening by the day, many Nigerians are finding it very difficult to afford the basic requirements of life even as many industries and business are closing down everyday:
“My message is for our country Nigeria whereby some people are under oppression. We say we’re one Nigeria, but that’s only in words. I am advocating for equity, justice, and fairness.
“And again, God has absolute power; holding other people captives just like Nnamdi Kanu who is languishing in prison and everybody is passive about that, even Ohanaeze Ndigbo; injustice is injustice.
“I pray that the Federal Government will grant him amnesty. There is hunger in the land. The President and others should alleviate hunger in the land. People are dying on daily basis. Prices of goods are skyrocketing. As a priest, I’m not happy when I see my flock suffer.”
He advised President Buhari to fight corruption holistically and not the one-sided fight where the All Progressives Congress (APC) members are made sacred cows while other party members are seen to be corrupt, insisting that if the corruption fight is one-sided the president is then partial.
He appealed that justice, love and equity should be enthroned in the country for divine promotion and elevation from God to be made manifest.
The cleric pointed out that addressing various critical issues like injustice, marginalization and others which fuel the urge by the people of South-East and South-South to secede would have far-reaching effects than holding some of their sons and daughters captive:
“My message is for our country Nigeria. Whereby some people are under oppression, we say we are one Nigeria, but that is only in word. I am advocating for equity, justice, and fairness.”
A special prayer was conducted for the Spiritual Director of the Enugu Adoration Ministry, Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka, for God to protect and strengthen him.
