Police respond to ShotSpotter activation on N. 11th Street

WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - The Wilmington Police Department is investigating a shooting that took place Thursday afternoon on N. 11th Street.
According to the WPD officials, officers responded to a ShotSpotter activation in the 200 block of N. 11th Street shortly after 2:30 p.m.
Upon arrival, officers found shell casings in the roadway.
Witnesses told officers they saw a man flee the scene and run into a residence but they were unable to find the subject.
A stormdoor window at a house in the 700 block of N. 11th Street was damaged in the incident.
