Publishing Suite Updates: Invoice Splits, Dropdown Search and More

We have some of the best customers in the world. We love working with each and every one of you. And today, we're thrilled to (officially) announce a major update to our publishing suite.

Now, you can:

  • Split invoices to multiple line items
  • Track inventory related to purchases
  • Search dropdown menus
  • Rely on Hubdoc to automatically calculate taxable and nontaxable amounts
  • Complete quick calculations in line item fields
  • Tab between fields

This is an exciting release! It is also the first step of many to make publishing more seamless in Hubdoc. Without further ado, let's jump into the features:
 

Invoice splitting to multiple line items

Inside of the 'Edit Data' bar, you can now split invoices to multiple line items. Simply click 'Multiple' in your QuickBooks Online, Xero or Bill.com publishing area and out pops a window to create additional line items.

The design of this window is customized to your destination. That means if you're publishing to QuickBooks Online, you'll see the same field names in Hubdoc as you'd see when looking at an expense transaction in QuickBooks. Same for Xero and Bill.com.

Support for Inventory Tracking

Now, if you track inventory in Quickbooks Online, Xero or Bill.com, it's easy to track and publish this data from Hubdoc. To access this functionality, expand 'Item Details' in the line items window, when using QuickBooks Online.  For Xero connections, click the 'Items' drop down. For Bill.com, click 'Items'. It's all available at your fingertips.

Searchable dropdowns

It's what it says on the label! Click on a dropdown and start typing. Hubdoc will automatically surface the closest match. Quickly find Account Codes, Vendors and more. This is one small step for Hubdoc publishing and one giant leap for speedy document processing.


 

Auto-calculation of taxable and nontaxable amounts

Calling all businesses that track sales tax. Rejoice! Now, Hubdoc can automatically calculate the taxable and nontaxable amounts. Our solution automatically identifies the nontaxable amount and generates the relevant line items for you. Pretty sweet!

A calculator inside of line item fields

Need to add two figures together or multiply them quickly? No more running to your calculator (or more likely, opening the one on your computer). You can do the calculation inside of your line item fields. You can see it in action below.
