Reminder: You Can Get Free Digital Audiobooks From Your Library

Your local library has all kinds of perks, but one I continually forget about is its collection of digital audiobooks. Considering how much audiobooks usually cost, this is a great little benefit.

Just like with ebooks, once you register your library card with the OverDrive app you can then browse, download, and listen to audiobooks. After you pick a book, you can download it to your device and listen just like you would with any other app. What audiobooks are available depends on what your local library has, but I’ve had pretty good luck finding most of the books I’ve searched for. As with ebooks, there’s no good way to just browse for books in Overdrive, so you’ll need to dig around on your own. Regardless, if you’re like me and don’t listen to enough audiobooks to justify a Audible subscription, then your local library is the perfect alternative.
