The “XX” writing-directing team of Jovanka Vuckovic, Annie Clark (better known by her stage name St. Vincent), Roxanne Benjamin, and Sofia Carrillo stopped by the Variety Studio presented by Orville Redenbacher’s, at the Sundance Film Festival, to discuss their all-female horror anthology.
“‘XX’ was created in direct response to the lack of opportunities for women in film, particularly in the horror genre,” Vuckovic said.
Vuckovic described the film as their contribution to the movement to increase the number of female directors in Hollywood.
“Change is not only inevitable, it’s compulsory,” Vuckovic said.
