The Tech Council of Maryland held a forum to discuss innovation in medical devices.
Experts talked about what they learned in 2016 and what they think the future holds for the industry. The goal of the Maryland Tech Council is to connect members of the technology and life science fields. Innovators are looking ahead to the incoming administration and hoping that funding for their industries does not dwindle.
“I think it’s very early and hard to say. I think some of the statements that are being made about faster time to market for products in the medical device and biotechnology areas are encouraging,” said Stephen Thau of Morrison and Foerster LLP.
The Tech Council of Maryland will host another roundtable discussion to look at what effect the new administration will have on capital markets.
