Have you ever felt that you would like to cook your own baby food, but you don’t really know where to start?

The first time I made my own baby food for my daughter, I decided to be really efficient and make a lot. I cooked a baby lasagna and gave it to my daughter. She hated it the first time. And the second. And the third. And I had 20 baby portions that I could do nothing else with than to throw away. I learned my lesson. Start small!! Especially if you have a picky eater (which my daughter actually wasn’t – but she generally preferred canned baby food for a long time. (Says something about my cooking at that time..!)

But despite my first failure, I didn’t give up. And I improved. And I started to enjoy trying different baby food recipes. Since I have a passion for spices in my own foods, trying different cuisines, organic foods, vegetarian foods and also foods that are easy to make, I wanted to cook in similar ways for my children.

In this post, I have gathered a number of inspiring baby food cookbooks with different themes. All from super practical to “exotic tastes”.

There is no doubt you don’t really need cookbooks of any kind anymore if you are fine with browsing the internet for ideas. For me, a combination of cookbooks and websites is ideal. The Internet can be a bit time consuming sometimes and books can simply be very inspiring! Maybe I am old fashioned… :-)
