Lauderdale County Schools Superintendent Shawn Kimble said this is not the behavior he expects on or off campus. He cannot say whether any of the students involved in the fight will face disciplinary action.

Parents were shocked to see the video.

"It's a sad story that you go into McDonald's fighting like that, but hopefully they can work it out," parent Sheree Robinson said.

McDonald's employees stepped in to try and break up the fight.

"I think it's kind of stupid if you ask me," parent Nathan Stephens said.

None of those involved in the video have been identified.

WMC Action News 5 reached out to Ripley Police Department. When asked about whether any damage was caused to the restaurant, McDonald's hung up the phone. However, the franchise later released a statement:

The safety of our customers is a top priority for us.We are aware of the incident that took place at our 590 Hwy 51 N location. Our staff responded quickly and called local authorities immediately. We would direct any further inquiries to the local authorities in Ripley.
