“Can you believe it? I can’t believe it either!” Behati Prinsloo yelled with glee. The Victoria’s Secret Angel was backstage at Versace’s Fall 2017 show today happily discussing her surprise return to the runway—her first post-pregnancy fashion show, where she remained as much of a bombshell as ever.

As it turns out, Prinsloo’s last turn on the catwalk was also Versace more than a year ago. “I was five weeks pregnant and no one knew,” she said. Then, one month ago, discussions over her Versace comeback first began. “I wasn't sure if I could pull it together,” she said, laughing. “Pregnancy was such a nice break for me, it was so fun. But it’s also nice to slowly get back—I feel ready.” Yesterday she arrived in Milan, and tomorrow morning she’ll fly right back to L.A. and to her five-month-old daughter, Dusty Rose—“literally in and out, so I’m not away from her for too long.” “What I’m focused on now is to be a good mom,” she went on. “Everything shifts.”

Perhaps the one thing that hasn’t is her beauty routine, which has always been minimal. “Especially when I was pregnant, I tried to keep it real natural and still do,” she explained. Soothing body cream and a neat highlighter stick sent by Josie Maran remain in her rotation (“I was obsessed with it when I was pregnant”), as does makeup by friend and fellow supermodel Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, who happens to be pregnant now.

Then, of course, there’s her skill on the runway. “I was a little nervous, thinking, so, I still know how to walk—I mean, what is it, it’s walking,” she said. “But I was excited to come back and see all the girls again and still feel like, you know, I can be independent, I can still do it. To kind of prove something to myself, I think.” With her powerful glide still in tact, consider that case closed.
