A Cultural Conversation with Your Smartest and Funniest Friends
MRD is so addictive! Gavin and B Black discuss cultural events and critique them through a minority - and uniquely Canadian - lens. They also bring in guests with a variety of backgrounds (not just comedians; they are both experience stand up comedians) whose expertise adds depth to the conversations. While the material can be heavy at times, Gavin and B Black keep things light and funny with their great chemistry and dialogue while highlighting the controversies within our culture that everyone expects us to treat as "normal". It's not a conversation intended to make certain people "feel bad" or guilty, but more to give a platform for the perspectives that often go ignored. I recommend that everyone try to see things through someone else's lens, even if we disagree. Ultimately the point is to listen to and learn from people who are different from us - and it's all made easier by listening to two very funny and smart comics. I also appreciate that the show is updated regularly and now the episodes are longer so I can be entertained throughout my entire commute. Thanks for this, Gavin and B Black!
