The Canyon County Commissioners voted unanimously Tuesday to extend the local disaster emergency declaration that was issued on January 11, at the request of Caldwell and Nampa city leaders.

Recent winter weather conditions have led to hazardous driving conditions and the potential for flooding in the County.

“This decision extends the disaster emergency declaration for a period of thirty days unless otherwise authorized by the Board of County Commissioners,” said Canyon County spokesman Joe Decker.
