Bruce Springsteen sat down for an interview on BBC Radio 4’s long-running program “Desert Island Discs,” which asks guests (“castaways”) to select and discuss their all-time favorite music; the music that they’d take with them to a desert island. Springsteen chose songs by The Rolling Stones (“It’s All Over Now”), The Beatles (“I Want to Hold Your Hand”), Bob Dylan (“Like a Rolling Stone”). He also discussed how Elvis’ Sun Sessions inspired him to pick up the guitar, his battles with depression, his favorite books, and the inspiration behind his recent memoir Born to Run.
