Join us for a special screening of the brand new documentary All We Carry, by director Cady Voge. The event will be co-sponsored by the Kehilla Community Synagogue Immigration Committee and the Interfaith Movement for Human Integrity.
ALL WE CARRY follows one family’s extraordinary journey as they flee persecution in Honduras and endure months in US detention. Upon release, they are sponsored by a synagogue in Seattle and move into a borrowed home, all while they await their asylum verdict. Over three years, the family navigates countless life-altering and every-day moments where memory, joy, and grief collide.
The screening will be followed by a brief discussion with the filmmaker and community leaders. We’ll have the opportunity to celebrate with Sergio who was a guest at Kehilla during his asylum-seeking process and who has recently been able to bring his wife and children to the Bay Area.
