MUST READ: massive 44-hour long water outage hits joburg suburbs

JOBURG NORTH – Residents of North Riding and surrounds are warned that an unplanned water outage will be in effect from 10pm on 19 January until 7pm on 21 January.

An unplanned water outage will hit North Riding and surrounding areas for two days.

According to a post on Johannesburg Water’s Twitter page, the water outage is due to the repair of a of 700 AC main pipe.

Water will be cut off from 10pm on 19 January to 7pm 21 January and residents can expect restoration to be fully complete by the early hours of 22 January.

 

Areas to be affected:

North Riding, Kya Sand, Northlands Business and Deco Park, Bloubosrand, Johannesburg North, Noordhang, Parts of Craigavon, Maroeladal, Cedar Lakes, Cedar Creek, Broadacres, Cedar Avenue West, Needwood, Chartwell, Farmall and all the way to Steyn City.

 

There will be water tankers provided at the following places:

• Cedar Lakes and the BP garage Broadacres Shopping centre
• Northlands Business and Deco Park
• Crèche in Agulhas Road
• Hyperion Drive (Hampstead gardens)
• Cedar Creek Estate
• Precision Street
• Thorntree complex in Cedar Ave West
• Talavera complex
• Corner of Runnymead Avenue and 3rd Road, Chartwell
