What Your Ideal Major Is, Based on Your Zodiac Sign
With hundreds of majors to choose from in college, it can become very difficult to make a decision on what to declare. If you are having a hard time choosing a major, maybe your astrological Zodiac sign has the answers you're looking for! Read on to learn about your zodiac sign, and your ideal major based on it.
Aquarius (January 20 - February 18)
Aquarians like to help people. One of the best ways they can do that is by earning a degree in social work. Other majors suited to an Aquarius are: engineering, environmental planning, or nonprofit management. Some of these majors fall into the highest-paying majors category, also known as STEM majors: Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. Despite the perk of being some of the highest-paying majors, if you are only pursuing one of the STEM majors for this reason, you most likely will not enjoy your college experience, or job afterwards. Choose wisely! You only attend undergraduate college (hopefully) once in your life.
Pisces (February 19 - March 20)
Pisces are known for their generous nature and thirst for knowledge. This means they make amazing teachers. Suitable college majors other than the general teaching major include: psychology, counseling, pharmacist (STEM majors), and religious studies.
Aries (March 21 – April 19)
The ideal major for an Aries is a law degree, because these individuals are often strong-willed people who are able to win any argument. They are also very good at school in general, so the more-demanding studies shouldn’t be a problem. Alternatives to pursuing law include: mathematics (STEM majors), medicine (STEM majors), history, or even military science.
Taurus (April 20 – May 20)
Aside from being practical, Taurans are known for being stubborn. The ideal major, therefore, is a business degree, ultimately leading to a manager or even CEO position. Other possible majors include: computer engineering or programming (STEM majors), journalism, or teaching.
Gemini (May 21 – June 20)
A fitting major for a Gemini is counseling, because they are known for being understanding and charismatic. Other possibilities for Geminis are: creative writing, and a foreign language, or public relations major.
Cancer (June 21 – July 22)
Cancers tend to love families and children, so obtaining a degree in Early Childhood Education could work out beautifully. Other alternatives for warm, friendly Cancers are: the arts, film or music, psychology, or anthropology.
Leo (July 23 – August 22)
Leos are known for their natural leadership skills. They often gravitate towards careers in politics, so a major in political science could be perfect. Other options include: medical school (STEM majors), marketing, or creative arts.
Virgo (August 23 - September 22)
Virgos are known for being careful, analytical thinkers, so a degree in computer science or something similar could be great. Other majors wells suited to a Virgo are: law, event planning, accounting, or economics.
Libra (September 23 - October 22)
Libras tend to like balance in their lives. They often do well in careers where they are trying to find balance, such as mediating. In this case, obtaining a degree in Conflict Management and Resolution could be very enjoyable. Other good majors for a Libra are: literature, teaching, marketing, and communications.
Scorpio (October 23 - November 21)
Scorpios are known for being bold, and so a degree in Criminal Justice may be the perfect fit for them. Other good majors for a Scorpio are: pre-med (STEM majors), business, or communications.
Sagittarius (November 22 - December 21)
People who are born from November 22 – December 21 are known to be dreamers and writers, so a perfect major for them would be Journalism or English. Other options include: sociology, psychology, or communications.
Capricorn (December 22 - January 19)
Capricorns are typically intelligent and well-organized individuals. This means a major in something such as Accounting could be the perfect fit. Alternatives include: political science, business, economics, or computer science (STEM majors).
