Watch Live-Action Trailer For Ghost Recon Wildlands: War Within The Cartel
Ghost Recon Wildlands has shown a lot of promise in its early appearances, and we’re eager to get our hands on the final product. Before that happens, Ubisoft is expanding on the fiction of the game with a promotional live-action film treatment called War Within The Cartel. The story of the live-action movie focuses on the Santa Blanca drug cartel, but it’s unclear from the teaser exactly how the events depicted relate to the game’s storyline.
Check out the teaser trailer below, which precedes a launch of the full film on February 16. The Ghost Recon Wildlands game is targeting a launch on March 7 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC; read more about the game in one of our previews.
Our Take
Ubisoft has explored this approach to live-action films before, notably with The Division live-action series. It's great if that kind of treatment builds enthusiasm among potential players, but I'm most interested to see more of the game in action to help determine if it's going to be on my playlist.
