Patrimonium, a Swiss asset manager, has founded a new subsidiary for private equity investments. It has teamed up with a group of wealth managers to bolster its range of services.

The Swiss asset manager has founded Patrimonium Private Equity Advisors (PPEA) and teamed up with Zurmont Madison Management, which will join the private equity affiliate. Patrimonium is a Swiss asset manager specialized in so-called alternative asset classes, based in Baar. It manages 2.8 billion francs in assets.

Schnorf 160Werner Schnorf (pictured left), the chief executive officer of Zurmont, will manage PPEA and is joined by Kurt Hitz and Andreas Ziegler. Guido Patroncini, a founding partner of Zurmont, will assist in the capacity of an adviser. Zurmont Madison will remain as a brand name, Schnorf told finews.ch.

Funds advised by Zurmont Madison have invested approximately 500 million francs of equity into business successions, MBOs and spin-offs from corporate groups in Switzerland, Germany and Austria over the past years.

Patrimonium, managed by CEO and co-founder Christoph Syz (pictured above), is investing in real estate, private debt, infrastructure and private equity. It has some 50 employees and offices in Baar, Zurich and Lausanne.
