A lot of money for something that's poor quality and doesn't function as it should.

A lot of money for something that's poor quality and doesn't function as it should.
I has used this religiously since I received it. It's worked really well and along with the app has made a difference to my fitness. However it's a shame the quality doesn't match its usefulness. The strap started bubbling about two weeks ago and now the rubber is coming off near the display. This has now started happening to the other side of the strap. Also I use this for stair counts and have increased over weeks how many I want to do. The function of stairs counts has stopped working properly over time. I do 40 stair counts and the fit bit has reduced how many it's calculating day by day, so apparently I only do 5-10 a day which is wrong. I have looked for help online troubleshoot tried everything suggested it just doesn't work. Really disappointed as I paid £110 for something that is already becoming not usueable for what I want withing 10 weeks. Not good enough at all.

This is a very nifty and useful piece of wearable technology, supported by an app that it uploads data to, via bluetooth. Firstly I bought it to help monitor my health more than as a motivator to keep fit, because at the moment I have energy issues with chronic illness. I needed to monitor my heart rate to see what activities were sending my HR above my anaerobic threshold, and to see how much sleep I was getting or not. The HR is very accurate as long as you have it secured to your wrist properly. It is important to choose the right size of strap otherwise the HR monitor won't pick up your pulse, and also if you're going to wear it day and night.

FITBIT have done a great job of coming up with this tracker but as other extensive reviews say, it's not for established atheletes or fitness finatics as it doesn't provide enough high tech tracking. But it is ideal for anyone wishing to get motivated into an exercise regime, or for anyone like myself who needs to keep an eye on their Heart rate, monitor sleep patterns, take a few more steps and needs a calorie counter and just in need of some lifestyle data collection. It isn't over priced for what you get, in fact I think it's a great price especially here on Amazon and it is well worth the money!

HOWEVER.....you need to know that if you intend purchasing this for yourself, ensure your phone software is compatible with the app. I was running on a Samsung G3 and it's Android version only ran on Jellybean 4.2. NO GOOD. I ended up buying another phone. The app needs to run on 4.3 or higher to work the app. But once you're paired it's a breeze. Any issues and you just contact Fitbit support live chat online.

Secondly I'd say that the strap is a tinsy bit uncomfortable and takes a couple of days to adjust to, once you find a comfortable spot on your arm just behind the wrist bone it's no problem. But when you order order the right size. S or L.... that said you can buy another strap at a later date. The tracker won't 'work if it's not on your wrist.....so important it fits comfy. And it's not waterproof so you can't wear in the shower or pool.

Buy it and see how you get on. But download the app, make sure your phone software is up to date and compatible and just read reviews before you buy. I love it.

I have to admit that on opening I was not impressed with the bulkiness of the Charge 2 compared to my friends Alta. I am not a watch wearer and this is definitely more like a watch than a bracelet / band style. However I really wanted the heart rate function so kept it. I wear it with the face inwards which I find sleeker. I'm very glad I did. This bit of kit has awesome functionality: I LOVE it and the associated app. Moment by moment step count that doesn't seem to trigger with arm movements or bumpy roads in the car. On demand heart rate and daily patterns. Daily estimated energy expenditure vs calories in when entering food consumed into the app. This takes a little while but speeds up as you get a frequent foods list with use. Very useful for me just now as I am less mobile following surgery and have a real danger of over or indeed then under eating. I can only recommend it. I am sorry to say it does everything my jawbone failed to do but then that is a trendy looking band. Take your pick. What is most important to you? I've just bought a couple of additional coloured wristbands for this to tart it up a bit for going out.

I am an active person, love my gym, hiking and running as well as long walks. I've never thought I needed a fitness tracker before but I've been thinking about getting one for a while and after doing some research, I chose Fitbit Charge 2. I'm really enjoying it, tracking my workouts is strangely satisfying and I love the reminders about hourly steps. I work from home in front of my PC and sometimes it is easy to forget about moving a little - this is where I really appreciate my Fitbit a lot. I'm also not sure if I should admit it in public but I feel happy when it celebrates reaching my goals with me!
I wish it had internal GPS to track my routes but I knew that it wasn't the case when I chose it so I can't complain, it works well enough with my mobile. It's also really great for women with narrow wrists; some other fitness trackers are just too big and bulky for me, but this one is nice and can be customized to a more elegant look with a replacement band.

5.0 out of 5 stars Pulsera de actividad perfecta
Reviewed in Spain on 13 November 2017
