New London – Police are investigating the death of a 35-year-old man found dead Saturday morning in his Shaw Street apartment.

The man was identified as Frank Marquez of 206 Shaw St., second floor.

The police emergency dispatch center received a call at 6:47 a.m. Saturday reporting a possible untimely death at the man’s apartment. New London police detectives responded, discovered Marquez’ body and collected evidence from the scene. No obvious signs of trauma or suspicion were apparent, police said.

An autopsy will be conducted by the office of the Chief State’s Medical Examiner.
