Amber Heard's legal team has filed a court order against her estranged husband Johnny Depp, following his apparent refusal to pay her the $6.8 million (about £5.4 million) divorce settlement, which she plans to donate to charity.

According to E! News, Heard's team filed a Request for Order with the Los Angeles Superior Court, in the hope of forcing the payment through. They are also reportedly requesting solicitor fees and costs up to $35,435 (about £28,300).

The actress' legal representation is also claiming that Depp has failed to comply with various other aspects of their agreement, including the division of their personal property, the shipping of her belongings from their private home in the Bahamas, and the payment of outstanding debts incurred by the actor.

The couple released a statement to confirm that they'd reached an out-of-court divorce settlement back in August. Heard later confirmed her plans to donate the full $6.8 million to two charities; the Children's Hospital Los Angeles and the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) – a charity that supports victims of domestic violence.
