Los Angeles, CA (KOLD) - The Bellas are back. Or at least they were when the motion picture Pitch Perfect 2 hit theaters May 15th. This time, the story of a rag tag group of female a cappella singers has received an assist from behind the scenes. Former Wildcat basketball player turned A-list music producer Harvey Mason acted as producer and recording engineer for the film's soundtrack. In the short clip above he sits down with one of the new Bella additions, actress Hailee Steinfeld to her experience working with him in the studio.

To date, Pitch Perfect 2 has earned over $278 million dollars world wide. Not bad for a film that cost roughly $75 million dollars to make.

Mason was a member of the 1988 Wildcat squad, the first Arizona team to make the Final Four.
