There can be something quite magical about snow at Christmas - white flurries perch on the roof of your house, the gloves come on to start making snowmen, and your garden is transformed into a winter wonderland.

With Tokyo experiencing snow this December for the first time in 54 years, attention has turned to the UK and whether we'll also be having a white Christmas this year.

The Met Office have said there is indeed a chance of snow falling in the UK on Christmas Day (25 December).

So for a bit of fun, Crystal Ski have teamed up with the Met Office to create the ultimate snow calculator. They've looked at data from 36 stations all over the UK from the last 25 years.

For example, it's good news for Scotland with many regions seeing a high chance of snow this year; 55% to be exact. Scotland has had 12 white Christmases in the last 25 years, and in 2009 it lasted for 14 days.

Take the snow test here to find out about the chances of snow in your area.

Of course, as Christmas Day gets nearer you can find out if snow is actually forecast by visiting the Met Office website which also offers advice and guidance on severe weather warnings. This will help you plan your travel on the day.
