Ed Balls may be gone, but at least it is Musicals Week on Strictly Come Dancing to cheer us all up.

With only five couples left in the competition, the heat was well and truly on tonight (December 3) - and we are not just referring to the sizzling salsas and fiery foxtrots.

It's Strictly Come Dancing Musicals Week, but who was your favourite contestant tonight?

But what did the judges think? Here Digital Spy rounds up all of tonight's comments and scores.

1. Ore Oduba and Joanne Clifton dance the foxtrot to 'Pure Imagination' from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory: 9+9+9+9=36

Len: "It was delicious! Who can kick of a show in style? The candyman can! You had style, with elegant movement down the floor. You were out there, exposed. A couple of unsteady movements in those hovers. But overall Willy Wonka, it's a stonker!"

Bruno: "I was expecting wacky Willy Wonka, and I got Willy Wonder. It was a classic foxtrot, enough to give it a bit of a spin. I liked it, it was very stylish and very nice."

Craig: "You need to be a lot higher on your toes when you do those Chaine turns. You had a couple of balance issues. You had swing and sway. It was elegant and classy."

Darcey: "For me, it was like gliding with style. It's not natural and easy for you, I love how you lead your lady around the stay. It's a difficult ballroom style. I like how you captured that suave, cheeky style. Really liked that character."

2. Judge Rinder and Oksana Platero dance the samba to 'Oh! What a Night!' from Jersey Boys: 7+8+8+8=31

Bruno: "I think it can only be sung - 'walks like a man, walks like a nut!' It's good because nobody can hold you back. It was a bit flat footed, but great fun!"

Craig: "Flat footed, I'm afraid. It was flat footed and stompy. But fantastic energy, and the hip action, my darling!"

Darcey: "You have no problem, capturing the vibe of the party. You gave 100% as soon as you jumped off that stage. You have this wonderful individual style, it's great fun. I love watching you."

Len: "What season was that? It was summer - it was sunny, it was hot, it was a joy to behold. You just come out and give us 100%. There were a few foot issues, but it was so much fun. I would watch that again."

3. Louise Redknapp and Kevin Clifton dance the quickstep to 'The Deadwood Stage' from Calamity Jane: 9+9+9+10=37

Craig: "Well I loved the routine, the ideas in there were absolutely fantastic. Several different genres throughout, tap, sudep post. The timing was perfect, you characterisation was brilliant."

Darcey: "Well, yee-haw Louise. You just became Calamity, you were clean and light. I just really enjoyed the routine. You maybe enjoyed the hoe-down a bit more than the rest. But really great routine, well done."

Len: "I think you could go on the West End stage! It really captures the spirit of Calamity Jane. It's a difficult job to get the balance between dance and musical- and there was a tad too much of the musical."

Bruno: "You two whipped that number into perfect shape. Character, choreography, content, spectacle. The way you drew the story while dancing. It was really a great tribute to wild wild west, Broadway style!"

4. Claudia Fragapane and AJ Pritchard dance the salsa to 'I Just Can't Wait To Be King' from The Lion King: 9+9+9+10=37

Darcey: "My goodness that routine was packed full! And that energy you were using, that body. Well done. Those isolations! I loved that double cartwheel leg when you did those turns. You are so well tuning those technical details. That end, when you were climbing that rock and did that flip!"

Len: "You captured the flavour of The Lion King, but you also captured the flavour of salsa. What I love about you is that you are clean and precise. I always wonder if it's going Pete Tong - you did on that lift. But wonderful."

Bruno: "Hakuna Matata as they say. I saw the little kitten showing that bite. Tonight you let your hair down, like a Spice Girl. It was you that got the grip. Not going to penalise the performance."

Craig: "You're still spotting the flaw in those turns. The dismount was rather ugly. I think you can still have a little more pressure through the salsa. But the body isolation is clean, and the lifts. Amazing, darling."

5. Danny Mac and Oti Mabuse dance the tango to 'One Night Only' from Dreamgirls: 9+10+9+10=38

Len: "Well it's not one night only, every night you come out on the floor and produce fantastic dancing. There's a certain step on your heel that was lacking footwork here and there. Loved that promenade section. Danny, you are one heck of a dancer."

Bruno: "That dreamboat of a tango could run for years as far as I'm concerned. It was a star turn, you took it as a leading man. You were the star of the show. I cannot give you a better complement."

Craig: "The heel leads are as big as bug bear, you've got to fix that. It won't be a 10 unless you get them in. But I loved it, it was dynamic. Incredible dancer."

Darcey: "When you got into action, the focus in those eyes. I was totally absorbed. Didn't notice the heels. The character was controlled like a manager. It was oozing."

Strictly Come Dancing continues on Sunday (December 4) at 7.20pm on BBC One.
