Chicken Wire Centerpiece

I can’t remember if our shelf lamp from Target was a wedding gift or if it was something we purchased just after tying the knot. Either way, it was a great piece in our house for six years and managed to hold its own against multiple attacks made by small children. It stopped working last year and while I could have investigated its electrical malfunction & attempted to fix it, the bulky piece ended up making its way to the basement where it was squished between a set of golf clubs and a dusty suitcase.
When I stumbled across it again in my search for wood to make a chicken wire centerpiece, a light bulb went off. Literally. I unscrewed the light bulb and dismantled the whole piece in a moment of sheer excitement.
The wood was painted with white chalk paint and the chicken wire was stapled on the inside. I had a whole bunch of fun decorating the inside for fall and can hardly wait for Christmas decorating to begin! :)
Come and check out the blog for more steps on how to complete one of your own. Wishing you a wonderful week!
