1. Four things you can do to get banned on Google

Do you want to get banned on Google? There are several things that you can do to make sure that Google thinks that your website as spam. If you don't want to get banned, you should make sure that you do not do these things.

evil clown SEO advice

Step 1: Create your content automatically

Do not take the time to create original content. Use software to create your web pages automatically. You will save time and you will get a high bounce rate because your website visitors probably won't understand your web pages.

Automatically created content is targeted by Google's Panda algorithm so this is a good way to get banned on Google.

Step 2: Use keyword rich doorway pages and cloaking

This is an old method but it still works very well, especially if you combine it with automated content. Create pages that contain a lot of your keywords for search engines. Then redirect the real visitors of your website to other pages on your site.

Protip: Redirect your users to pages that are totally unrelated to the content of the doorway pages. Chances are that Google will ban your website even quicker then.

Step 3: Hide text on your web pages

Also a classic: Instead of using doorway pages, just enter the keyword rich text on your regular pages. Then hide it so that your website visitors cannot see it. You can do this by using white-text on a white background, with CSS, or with a very small font size. Be creative. A cool way to hide links on your pages is to link dots at the end of a sentence.

The more text you hide on your pages, the more likely it is that Google things that these web pages are spam.

Step 4: get links in bulk

Getting real links is completely daft and unnecessary. It is much too much work if you want to get banned on Google. Real links will improve your rankings on Google and this is not what we're trying to do here.

If you want to get banned, you should try to get links in bulk: Automatically submit your website to thousands of forums, automatically create forum profile links, buy as many links as you can on as many websites as you can. Make sure that these links always contain the same anchor text.

Google's new Penguin algorithm has made it more difficult to get penalized by bad links. Fortunately, you will still get a manual penalty if you have enough of these backlinks.

2. Internet marketing news of the week

John MuellerGoogle’s John Mueller: you do not have to disavow sitewide links or blogroll links

"If these are normal links, organic links, that are pointing at your content, then I would just let them be. That’s the way the internet works. People link to your content.

If your students have blogs and they think, oh, this is actually a teacher that knows what he’s talking about, then that’s a good link. That’s not something you need to disavow just because maybe it’s a sitewide link or in the blogroll."

Google’s HTTPS algorithm still only looks at the URL to give ranking boost

"Google does not look to ensure the certificate is valid or determine if the page has insecure content on the page or give you any of the typical browser warnings you’d get if the page is really not secure. Google will give the ranking boost solely based on the URL, starting with HTTPS."

John MuellerGoogle's John Mueller: what happens if you cannot redirect your old domain to your new domain?

"[301 redirects to the new domain should be in place] even longer than a year. Sometimes you can’t control that at all, sometimes there’s legal situations where you say I can’t put anything on my old domain, I can’t put a redirect up there, and that’s life.

You can’t fix that, right. So from our point of view what would happen then is that we would probably drop the old domain and treat the new domain like a new site, like a separate site."
