Tomorrow night, Mario Batali will hit the White House for the Obamas’ last state dinner. The black-tie soiree will be thrown in honor of Italian prime minister Matteo Renzi and his wife, Agnese Landini, making Batali a natural fit.
He’ll be cooking the meal in collaboration with White House executive chef Cristeta Comerford and executive pastry chef Susan Morrison, and they’ll be cashing in on all the fall flavors. Here, per Eater, is the proposed menu for the evening, along with wine pairings:
